Specific Garments To Be Tested:
  1. Suits (men's and women's)
  2. Men's and Women's jackets
  3. Rain Coats (men's and women's)
  4. Skirts and Pants
  5. Sweaters
  6. Ties, Hats, Scarfs, and Gloves
  7. Miscellaneous Fabrics (blankets, drapes, rugs, etc.)
This list not only includes wool and linen fabrics or blends containing them, but any fabric that would appear to have a "linen-look" to the fabric. The consumer should be aware that "linen-look" fabrics may be mis-labeled and should be tested for Sha'atnez.

"Linen-look" can include fabrics that have varied widths in their threads, a slight shine (as with the linen picture), or contain 'slubs' (small collections of material that look like little balls of lint but are actually part of the thread).

Gedalia Walls is currently a member of the Kollel L'Hora'ah of RIETS, whose goal is to receive Yadin Yadin semicha. He has been a member of Kollel Zichron Amram of the Yeshiva of Greater Washington, where he also received semicha from R. Gedaliah Anemer.
